Statement of Purpose / Fiscal Impact

    STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
    RS07640C1
This proposed legislation updates the Equine Activities Immunity Act. Changes are
proposed that would limit liability for injury or death of an equine engaged in an equine
activity. Provisions are proposed to be deleted because they are deemed too broad in
nature to be relevant. A provision is being added that would allow two parties to agree in
writing to waive specific liabilities imposed by or beyond the provisions of this act.

    FISCAL IMPACT

    No fiscal impact.
