S1325|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fourth Legislature Second Regular Session - 1998IN THE SENATE SENATE BILL NO. 1325 BY HEALTH AND WELFARE COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO THE IDAHO BOARD OF HEARING AID DEALERS AND FITTERS; AMENDING CHAP- 3 TER 29, TITLE 54, IDAHO CODE, BY THE ADDITION OF A NEW SECTION 54-2920, 4 IDAHO CODE, TO PROVIDE THAT ACTING AS A HEARING AID DEALER OR FITTER WITH- 5 OUT A LICENSE SHALL BE A MISDEMEANOR. 6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 7 SECTION 1. That Chapter 29, Title 54, Idaho Code, be, and the same is 8 hereby amended by the addition thereto of a NEW SECTION , to be 9 known and designated as Section 54-2920, Idaho Code, and to read as follows: 10 54-2920. VIOLATIONS OF ACT A MISDEMEANOR. Any person who shall engage in 11 conduct requiring a hearing aid dealer's and fitter's license as herein 12 defined without a license as provided for by this chapter, or the rules of the 13 board herein provided for, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS07345 Idaho Board of Hearing Aid Dealers & Fitters Amend existing statute to incorporate criminal sanctions for unlicensed practice shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. FISCAL IMPACT There is no fiscal impact to the General Fund or Dedicated Funds.
