H0344|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fifth Legislature First Regular Session - 1999IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 344 BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS FOR THE ENDOWMENT FUND INVESTMENT BOARD FOR FISCAL YEAR 3 2000; AND LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS. 4 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 5 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Office of the Governor for 6 the Endowment Fund Investment Board the following amounts, to be expended 7 according to the designated expense classes from the listed funds for the 8 period July 1, 1999, through June 30, 2000: 9 FOR FOR FOR 10 PERSONNEL OPERATING CAPITAL 11 COSTS EXPENDITURES OUTLAY TOTAL 12 ENDOWMENT FUND INVESTMENT BOARD: 13 FROM: 14 General Fund $243,000 $147,400 $2,000 $392,400 15 Miscellaneous 16 Revenue Fund 129,200 63,500 1,000 193,700 17 TOTAL $372,200 $210,900 $3,000 $586,100 18 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Endowment 19 Fund Investment Board is authorized no more than five and five-tenths (5.5) 20 full-time equivalent positions at any point during the period July 1, 1999, 21 through June 30, 2000, for the program specified in Section 1 of this act, 22 unless specifically authorized by the Governor. The Joint Finance- 23 Appropriations Committee will be notified promptly of any increased positions 24 so authorized.

This is the fiscal year 2000 appropriation for the Endowment Fund Investment Board, in
the Office of the Governor, in the amount of $586,100.

The maintenance area includes funding for replacement items, State Controller fees, 3%
Change in Employee Compensation, and a fund shift to account for the proportionate share
of assets invested by the Board for the permanent endowments and the State Insurance
Fund. The enhancements include funding for a part-time account technician and one-time
accounting software.
