S1256|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fifth Legislature First Regular Session - 1999IN THE SENATE SENATE BILL NO. 1256 BY FINANCE COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS FOR THE AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH AND COOPERATIVE EXTENSION 3 SERVICE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000; REAPPROPRIATING ANY UNEXPENDED AND UNENCUM- 4 BERED BALANCES; AND SETTING FORTH CONDITIONS FOR THE REAPPROPRIATION. 5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 6 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Board of Regents of the 7 University of Idaho for the Agricultural Research and Cooperative Extension 8 Service Program the following amounts from the listed funds for the period 9 July 1, 1999, through June 30, 2000: 10 FROM: 11 General Fund $22,145,300 12 Equine Education Fund 135,000 13 Federal Grant Fund 4,594,600 14 Miscellaneous Revenue Fund 181,900 15 TOTAL $27,056,800 16 SECTION 2. There is hereby reappropriated to the Board of Regents of the 17 University of Idaho for the Agricultural Research and Cooperative Extension 18 Service, subject to the provisions of Section 3 of this act, the unexpended 19 and unencumbered balance of any appropriation contained in Section 1, Chapter 20 278, Laws of 1998, to be used for nonrecurring expenditures for the period 21 July 1, 1999, through June 30, 2000. 22 SECTION 3. The reappropriation for the General Fund granted in Section 2 23 of this act shall be subject to the following provisions: 24 (1) If the unexpended and unencumbered balance in the General Fund on 25 June 30, 1999, is zero, the reappropriation for the General Fund in Section 2 26 is hereby declared to be null and void. 27 (2) If the unexpended and unencumbered balance in the General Fund on 28 June 30, 1999, is greater than zero but less than the total General Fund re- 29 appropriation authority granted to all state agencies, the amount reappropri- 30 ated in Section 2 of this act shall be in the proportion that the reappropria- 31 tion for the Agricultural Research and Cooperative Extension Service bears to 32 the total General Fund reappropriation authority granted to all state agen- 33 cies.
