Statement of Purpose / Fiscal Impact

STATEMENT OF. PURPOSE
RS 08949

The purpose of this legislation is to clarify the law involving the simulcasting of dog racing in Idaho. It was never intended that horse race simulcasting be eliminated in Idaho. This bill makes it clear that the sunset provision applies only to the simulcasting of dog racing in Idaho.

FISCAL NOTE

There will probably be some positive fiscal impact on track owners and to whomever else the tracks give money.
