S1283|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fifth Legislature First Regular Session - 1999IN THE SENATE SENATE BILL NO. 1283 BY FINANCE COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION IN ADDITION TO THE APPRO- 3 PRIATION MADE IN SECTION 1, HOUSE BILL 346, ENACTED BY THE FIRST REGULAR 4 SESSION OF THE FIFTY-FIFTH IDAHO LEGISLATURE; ADDING AN ADDITIONAL FULL- 5 TIME EQUIVALENT POSITION AND LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT 6 POSITIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE REDUCTION OF GENERAL FUND MONEYS APPRO- 7 PRIATED IN SECTION 1, HOUSE BILL 346, ENACTED BY THE FIRST REGULAR SESSION 8 OF THE FIFTY-FIFTH IDAHO LEGISLATURE. 9 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 10 SECTION 1. In addition to the appropriation made in Section 1, House Bill 11 346, enacted by the First Regular Session of the Fifty-fifth Idaho legisla- 12 ture, there is hereby appropriated to the Department of Correction, the fol- 13 lowing amount to be expended for the designated programs according to the des- 14 ignated expense classes from the listed fund for the period July 1, 1999, 15 through June 30, 2000: 16 A. ADMINISTRATION DIVISION: 17 FOR: 18 Personnel Costs $39,000 19 Operating Expenditures 21,000 20 TOTAL $60,000 21 FROM: 22 General Fund $60,000 23 SECTION 2. In addition to the full-time positions authorized for fiscal 24 year 2000 in Section 2, House Bill 346, enacted by the First Regular Session 25 of the Fifty-fifth Idaho Legislature, the Department of Correction is autho- 26 rized one (1) full-time equivalent position for the program specified in Sec- 27 tion 1 of this act in accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, and no more 28 than one thousand three hundred fifty-three and sixty-nine hundredths 29 (1,353.69) full-time equivalent positions at any point during the period July 30 1, 1999 to June 30, 2000. 31 SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any other provision of the law to the con- 32 trary, the amount appropriated from the General Fund to the Institutional Sup- 33 port Program for operating expenditures in Section 1, House Bill 346, enacted 34 by the First Regular Session of the Fifty-fifth Idaho Legislature, shall be 35 reduced by $60,000 for the period July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000.

Analyst Comments: The net fiscal impact of this appropriation is zero. Operating
Expenditures within the Institutional Support Program were reallocated to add an
additional administrative position ($39,000); and $21,000 of operating expenditures in the
Administration Division to support rule making in accordance with Senate Bill 1110aa.
