H0498|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fifth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2000IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE BILL NO. 498 BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE BOARD OF NURSING, BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL 3 ENGINEERS AND LAND SURVEYORS, REAL ESTATE COMMISSION AND BUREAU OF OCCUPA- 4 TIONAL LICENSES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 6 SECTION 1. In addition to the appropriation made in Section 1, Chapter 7 238, Laws of 1999, there is hereby appropriated to the Board of Nursing, Board 8 of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, Real Estate Commission, and the 9 Bureau of Occupational Licenses in the Department of Self-Governing Agencies 10 the following amounts to be expended for the designated programs according to 11 the designated expense classes from the listed fund for the period July 1, 12 1999, through June 30, 2000: 13 A. BOARD OF NURSING: 14 FOR: 15 Operating Expenditures $ 47,500 16 FROM: 17 State Regulatory Fund $ 47,500 18 B. BOARD OF PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS AND LAND SURVEYORS: 19 FOR: 20 Operating Expenditures $ 69,600 21 FROM: 22 State Regulatory Fund $ 69,600 23 C. REAL ESTATE COMMISSION: 24 FOR: 25 Operating Expenditures $ 50,000 26 FROM: 27 State Regulatory Fund $ 50,000 28 D. BUREAU OF OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES: 29 FOR: 30 Operating Expenditures $ 9,000 31 FROM: 32 State Regulatory Fund $ 9,000 33 GRAND TOTAL $176,100 34 SECTION 2. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby 35 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its 36 passage and approval.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS09781 This is a fiscal year 2000 supplemental appropriation for the Board of Nursing, Board of Professional Engineers and Surveyors, Real Estate Commission, and Bureau of Occupational Licenses in the Department of Self-Governing Agencies totaling $176,100 in dedicated fund spending authority. FISCAL IMPACT This supplemental provides the following boards with dedicated fund spending authority for the following items: the Board of Nursing with $47,500 for legal fees, moving and remodeling costs and an upgrade to their voice response system; the Board of Engineers & Surveyors with $69,600 for legal and exam costs; the Real Estate Commission with $50,000 for legal costs; and the Bureau of Occupational Licenses with $9,000 for investigative file reviews. The funding for these items is dedicated funds derived principally from the licensing, registration, and examination fees collected from the various professionals the boards regulate.
