S1305|||| LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO |||| Fifty-fifth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2000IN THE SENATE SENATE BILL NO. 1305 BY STATE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE 1 AN ACT 2 RELATING TO THE STATE LOTTERY COMMISSION; AMENDING SECTION 67-7406, IDAHO 3 CODE, TO MAKE A TECHNICAL CORRECTION AND TO INCREASE THE COMPENSATION FOR 4 MEMBERS OF THE STATE LOTTERY COMMISSION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 6 SECTION 1. That Section 67-7406, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby 7 amended to read as follows: 8 67-7406. QUORUM -- MEETINGS -- MINUTES -- COMPENSATION. A majority of the 9 qualified membership of the commission is a quorum. The commission may not act 10 unless at least three (3) members concur. The commission shall not meet less 11 than four (4) times per year. Written notice of the time and place of each 12 commission meeting shall be given to each member of the commission. The secre- 13 tary of the commission shall promptly send the governor a certified copy of 14 the minutes of each meeting of the commission. The minutes shall include a 15 copy of eachregulationrule of the lottery that is adopted. Members of the 16 commission shall receive compensation as provided in section 59-509(gh), Idaho 17 Code. Members are entitled to reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses 18 incurred in the performance of their duties as a member, as provided by law. 19 SECTION 2. This act shall be in full force and effect on and after July 20 1, 2000.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS09418 This legislation amends the existing law to increase the per diem paid to the Idaho State Lottery Commissioners from $35 per day to $50 per day, which is in addition to reimbursement for expenses related to travel, lodging and meals. FISCAL IMPACT No impact on the General Fund. The increase of approximately $450 per year will come from the Idaho State lottery's dedicated funds (fund source is sale of lottery tickets).
