                             Requested by: Board of Tax Appeals
                                                                        
  1                                        AN ACT
  2    RELATING TO THE SMALL CLAIMS DIVISION OF THE BOARD OF TAX  APPEALS;  REPEALING
  3        SECTIONS  63-3815,  63-3816,  63-3817, 63-3818, 63-3819 AND 63-3820, IDAHO
  4        CODE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION 1.  That Sections 63-3815, 63-3816, 63-3817, 63-3818, 63-3819  and
  7    63-3820, Idaho Code, be, and the same are hereby repealed.
                                                                        
  8        SECTION  2.  This  act shall be in full force and effect on and after July
  9    1, 2000.

Statement of Purpose / Fiscal Impact


                      STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
                            RS09369
This legislation would repeal statutes relating to the inactive
small claims division of the board of tax appeals, thus simplifying
state law and reflecting current board practice.







                         FISCAL IMPACT
No fiscal impact on the State General Fund nor any other government
fund.  The legislation codifies current practice.

There is no impact on state agencies or local government.  The
small claims division has been inactive for several years.
