  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE FOR FISCAL  YEAR  2001;  AND
  3        LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
                                                                        
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  5        SECTION  1.  There is hereby appropriated to the Department of Finance the
  6    following amount, to be expended according to the designated  expense  classes
  7    from the listed fund for the period July 1, 2000, through June 30, 2001:
  8    FOR:
  9    Personnel Costs                                                     $2,460,400
 10    Operating Expenditures                                                 625,700
 11    Capital Outlay                                                          77,000
 12      TOTAL                                                             $3,163,100
 13    FROM:
 14    State Regulatory Fund                                               $3,163,100
                                                                        
 15        SECTION 2.  In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Department
 16    of  Finance  is  authorized no more than forty-three (43) full-time equivalent
 17    positions at any point during the period July 1, 2000, through June 30,  2001,
 18    for the program specified in Section 1 of this act, unless specifically autho-
 19    rized  by  the  Governor.  The  Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee will be
 20    notified promptly of any increased positions so authorized.

This is the fiscal year 2001 appropriation for the Department of Finance in the amount of $3,163,100.

The Department is funded entirely with dedicated funds generated by regulating the financial industry in Idaho.

This appropriation also limits the Department’s number of full-time positions for FY 2001.
