  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE LEGISLATIVE  COUNCIL  FOR  FISCAL  YEAR
  3        2000;  REAPPROPRIATING  THE  UNEXPENDED  AND  UNENCUMBERED BALANCE FOR THE
  4        OFFICE OF PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION 1.  In addition to the appropriation made in  Section  1,  Chapter
  7    224, Laws of 1999, there is hereby appropriated to the Legislative Council for
  8    the Office of Performance Evaluations the following amount to be expended from
  9    the listed fund for the period July 1, 1999, through June 30, 2000:
 10    LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL:
 11    General Fund                                                          $600,000
                                                                        
 12        SECTION  2.  There is hereby reappropriated to the Legislative Council for
 13    the Office of Performance Evaluations any unexpended and unencumbered  balance
 14    of  the  appropriation  made  in  Section 1 of this act for the period July 1,
 15    2000, through June 30, 2001.
                                                                        
 16        SECTION 3.  An emergency existing  therefor,  which  emergency  is  hereby
 17    declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
 18    passage and approval.

This is a FY 2000 Supplemental Appropriation to the Legislative Council for the Office of Performance Evaluations to

conduct a study of Medicaid.

The fiscal impact of this appropriation bill is $600,000 from the General Fund on a one-time basis to contract for a

comprehensive study of Medicaid in Idaho through the Office of Performance Evaluations. This funding is authorized

until the end of fiscal year 2001.
