  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF  LANDS  FOR  FISCAL  YEAR
  3        2001;  AND  INCREASING  THE  LIMIT  IN  THE NUMBER OF AUTHORIZED FULL-TIME
  4        EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION 1.  In addition to the appropriation made in House Bill  No.  741,
  7    enacted  by  the  Second Regular Session of the Fifty-fifth Idaho Legislature,
  8    there is hereby appropriated to the Department of Lands the following  amount,
  9    to  be expended for the designated program according to the designated expense
 10    classes from the listed fund for the period July 1,  2000,  through  June  30,
 11    2001:

 19        SECTION  2.  In  addition  to the authorization provided in House Bill No.
 20    741, enacted by the Second Regular Session of the Fifty-fifth  Idaho  Legisla-
 21    ture, the Department of Lands is authorized two (2) full-time equivalent posi-
 22    tions  for  the  period  July  1, 2000, through June 30, 2001, for the program
 23    specified in Section 1 of this act.

Appropriates $112,000 to the Idaho Department of Lands for fiscal year 2001 for an integrated Property Records System. H487 requires the Idaho Department of Lands to maintain a database to centralize the deeds of the state’s property. The comprehensive integrated database will include state-owned and leased real estate.

Fiscal Note

This legislation authorizes two additional full-time equivalent positions to be added to the Idaho Department of Lands. It appropriates $102,000 in personnel costs of which $38,700 is for a Geographic Information System Specialist, $54,100 is for a Geographic Information System Analyst, and $9,200 is to upgrade an existing cartographer position. The bill also provides $10,000 for office furnishings and training for a total of $112,000 in ongoing general fund support for this new program.
