                                BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
                                                                        
  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS FOR THE IDAHO COMMISSION ON THE ARTS FOR  FIS-
  3        CAL YEAR 2001; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
                                                                        
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  5        SECTION  1.  In  addition  to the appropriation made in Section 1, Chapter
  6    455, Laws of 2000, there is hereby appropriated to the Secretary of State  for
  7    the Idaho Commission on the Arts the following amount to be expended according
  8    to  the  designated  expense class from the listed fund for the period July 1,
  9    2000, through June 30, 2001:
 10    FOR:
 11    Operating Expenditures                                                 $47,500
 12    FROM:
 13    Miscellaneous Revenue Fund                                             $47,500
                                                                        
 14        SECTION 2.  An emergency existing  therefor,  which  emergency  is  hereby
 15    declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
 16    passage and approval.

Statement of Purpose

This is a fiscal year 2001 supplemental appropriation for the Idaho Commission on the Arts totaling $47,500 in miscellaneous revenue fund spending authority for one-time operating expenses for the Governor’s Awards and for other current year projects.

Fiscal Note

This supplemental appropriation would provide the Arts Commission spending authority in the amount of $47,500. Funding source is miscellaneous revenue derived from conference registration fees and contributions from corporations and foundations for special projects.

The Arts Commission is organizationally situated within the Office of the Secretary of State.
