                                    SENATE BILL NO. 1001

  1                                        AN ACT
  2    RELATING TO IDAHO EDUCATIONAL PUBLIC BROADCASTING SYSTEM; REPEALING SECTION 3,
  3        CHAPTER 475, LAWS OF 2000; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
                                                                        
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  5        SECTION 1.  That Section 3, Chapter 475, Laws of 2000, be, and the same is
  6    hereby repealed.
                                                                        
  7        SECTION 2.  An emergency existing  therefor,  which  emergency  is  hereby
  8    declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
  9    passage and approval.

Statement of Purpose / Fiscal Impact

                       STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
                             RS 10539

This legislation further guarantees the First Amendment rights and freedoms
of the citizens of the State of Idaho with respect to the Idaho Educational
Public Broadcasting System by repealing Section 3, Chapter 475, Laws of
2000.













                           FISCAL NOTE

There may be some slight fiscal benefit to the Idaho Educational Public
Broadcasting System because of time savings.
