The purpose of this legislation is to authorize and fund
upgrading of the initial study of the proposed Galloway Dam site
located on the Weiser River.

This proposed project would increase water storage capacity in
Idaho by approximately 900,000 acre feet and provide water for power
generators down stream through the Lower Snake and Columbia River
systems.

Galloway Dam would also provide needed flood control to the
Weiser River Valley and Weiser, Idaho
