SENATE BILL NO. 1055
BY RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE
1 AN ACT
2 RELATING TO THE COMPREHENSIVE STATE WATER PLAN; RATIFYING AND APPROVING AN
3 AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE STATE WATER PLAN FOR THE NORTH FORK CLEAR-
4 WATER BASIN AS ADOPTED BY THE IDAHO WATER RESOURCE BOARD ON DECEMBER 21,
5 2000; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
7 SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 42-1734B(6), Idaho Code, the amend-
8 ment to the Comprehensive State Water Plan for the North Fork Clearwater
9 Basin, adopted by resolution of the Idaho Water Resource Board on December 21,
10 2000, for the purpose of adding thereto the Dworshak Operation Plan, be, and
11 the same is hereby ratified and approved.
12 SECTION 2. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby
13 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
14 passage and approval.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS 10670
Passage of this proposed legislation will give final
approval to the Dworshak Operation Plan as an amendment to the
North Fork Clearwater Basin component of the Comprehensive State
Water Plan. The Dworshak Operation Plan describes and analyzes
the impacts of current operations, discusscs ongoing activities,
and makes recommendations regarding optimum use of the Project
including Dworshak Reservoir. Upon final approval, this plan
will be presented to the Corps of Engineers for inclusion in
their Dworshak Master Plan.
