1 AN ACT
2 EXPRESSING LEGISLATIVE INTENT; PROVIDING FOR THE REDUCTION OF APPROPRIATIONS
3 FOR VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS, AGENCIES AND INSTITUTIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2001;
4 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. The Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho gainsharing
7 program implemented through Section 59-1309, Idaho Code, has generated signif-
8 icant personnel cost savings for departments, agencies and institutions for
9 fiscal year 2001. It is legislative intent that agency budgets be reduced, as
10 closely to the executive budget recommendation by program as possible, by the
11 amounts detailed in the following sections.
12 SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
13 the appropriation of moneys made to the Board of Regents of the University of
14 Idaho for the Agricultural Research and Cooperative Extension Service Program
15 in Section 1, Chapter 441, Laws of 2000, is hereby reduced by the following
16 amount from the listed fund for the period July 1, 2000, through June 30,
17 2001:

20 SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
21 the appropriation of moneys made to the State Board of Education and the Board
22 of Regents of the University of Idaho for Boise State University, Idaho State

24 Office of the State Board of Education in Section 1, Chapter 473, Laws of
25 2000, is hereby reduced by the following amount from the listed funds for the
26 period July 1, 2000, through June 30, 2001:

The Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho gain sharing program implemented through Section 59-1309, Idaho Code, has generated significant personnel cost savings for departments, agencies, and institutions for fiscal year 2001. This is a negative supplemental that will reduce agency budgets by a total of $22,312,900 for fiscal year 2001.

This negative supplemental will reduce agency budgets by the following total amounts for fiscal year 2001: $11,337,500 in General Funds, $7,168,700 in Dedicated Funds, and $3,806,700 in Federal Funds for a total reduction of $22,312,900.
