  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR FOR  FISCAL  YEAR
  3        2003 AND LIMITING THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS.
                                                                        
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  5        SECTION  1.  There  is  hereby appropriated to the Executive Office of the
  6    Governor the following amounts, to be expended  for  the  designated  programs
  7    according  to  the  designated  expense  classes from the listed funds for the
  8    period July 1, 2002, through June 30, 2003:

 32        SECTION 2.  In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the  Executive
 33    Office  of  the Governor is authorized no more than twenty-five (25) full-time
 34    equivalent positions at any point during the period July 1, 2002, through June
 35    30, 2003, for the programs specified in Section 1 of this act, unless specifi-
 36    cally authorized by the Governor. The Joint  Finance-Appropriations  Committee
 37    will be notified promptly of any increased positions so authorized.

This appropriation funds two program enhancements. The first provides dedicated and
federal fund spending authority for the fourth year of the AmeriCorps Governor’s Initiative. The
second provides dedicated fund spending authority for a Math Initiative.
