]]]] LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF IDAHO ]]]] Fifty-eighth Legislature Second Regular Session - 2006IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 39 BY TRANSPORTATION AND DEFENSE COMMITTEE 1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION 2 STATING LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS AND COMMENDING MOST MEMBERS OF THE IDAHO MEDICAL 3 ASSOCIATION FOR PROVIDING HEALTH CARE TO MILITARY PERSONNEL AND THEIR FAM- 4 ILIES DURING DEPLOYMENT. 5 Be It Resolved by the Legislature of the State of Idaho: 6 WHEREAS, the United States of America has a declared commitment against 7 the war on terror; 8 WHEREAS, many soldiers have been called to active duty and have been put 9 on alert to mobilize for active duty; and 10 WHEREAS, the Department of Defense has instructed our citizen soldiers and 11 their families to put their personal, financial and other affairs in order in 12 the event of an overseas deployment; and 13 WHEREAS, every family member, neighbor or medical provider could be 14 affected by this ongoing military mobilization; and 15 WHEREAS, upon this mobilization of military personnel, the Idaho Army 16 National Guard, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, and the U.S. 17 Marines, and their families will be enrolled in the Department of Defense 18 TRICARE insurance program; and 19 WHEREAS, military personnel and their families will be in insurance tran- 20 sition during these difficult times and require the full support of all Idaho 21 medical providers; and 22 WHEREAS, most of the medical providers of the Idaho Medical Association 23 have responded to the call of the state's Commander in Chief, Governor Dirk 24 Kempthorne that no soldier or his/her family will be denied needed medical 25 care during this deployment and active duty against the War on Terror. 26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the members of the Second Regular Ses- 27 sion of the Fifty-eighth Idaho Legislature, the House of Representatives and 28 the Senate concurring therein, that, on behalf of the citizens of the State of 29 Idaho commend: 30 1. Most of the medical providers of the Idaho Medical Association for 31 their spirit of public good faith in support of military personnel and their 32 families during insurance benefit transition. 33 2. Most medical providers of the Idaho Medical Association for their 34 spirit of patriotism and sacrifice for military personnel and their families 35 that no soldier or his/her family will be denied needed medical care during 36 this deployment and active duty against the War on Terror. 37 3. Most medical providers of the Idaho Medical Association for their 38 spirit of commitment against the War on Terror. 39 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we request all medical providers in Idaho to 40 accept the Department of Defense TRICARE insurance program for Idaho military 41 personnel on active duty and their families.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE RS 16000 This Concurrent Resolution commends medical providers of the Idaho Medical Association for their commitment and support of military personnel and their families by accepting military health insurance.
