1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE IDAHO STATE POLICE FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007; LIMITING
3 THE NUMBER OF AUTHORIZED FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS; AND DIRECTING THE
4 ALLOCATION OF SALARY SAVINGS.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Idaho State Police the
7 following amounts to be expended for the designated programs according to the
8 designated expense classes from the listed funds for the period July 1, 2006,
9 through June 30, 2007:

34 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Idaho
35 State Police is authorized no more than five hundred forty-three and seven-
36 hundredths (543.07) full-time equivalent positions at any point during the
37 period July 1, 2006, through June 30, 2007, for the programs specified in Sec-
38 tion 1 of this act, unless specifically authorized by the Governor. The Joint
39 Finance-Appropriations Committee will be notified promptly of any increased
40 positions so authorized.
41 SECTION 3. The Idaho State Police is hereby directed to allocate salary
42 savings, based on performance, to provide for employee salary needs before
43 other operational budget priorities are considered. Where applicable, employ-
44 ees whose salaries are below the midpoint of their pay grade or occupational
45 groups with significant turnover rates shall be considered first in the order
46 of salary savings distributions.
