Statement of Purpose |
RS16684 |
This is a fiscal year 2007 Supplemental appropriation providing $1,750,400 from the Permanent Building fund to the Legislative Council for the completion of renovation work at the Capitol Annex (the Old Ada County Courthouse). This appropriation will provide funding for the second and final construction phase for the renovation of the Capitol Annex. The Capitol Annex will house the Legislature for two Legislative Sessions during Statehouse restoration. The aggressive timeline calls for Legislative staff to move into the Annex beginning at the end of the 2007 Session (hopefully March), while Session-related space (Senate and House Chambers, chairmen offices, secretarial space, etc.) will be ready for move-in by as early as mid-summer or September 2007 at the latest.
