1 AN ACT
2 RELATING TO FUNDS OF STATE BOARD OF LAND COMMISSIONERS; AMENDING SECTION
3 67-1202, IDAHO CODE, TO DELETE THE AUTHORITY AND DUTY OF THE STATE TREA-
4 SURER TO PURCHASE WARRANTS FOR THE STATE BOARD OF LAND COMMISSIONERS AND
5 TO MAKE A TECHNICAL CORRECTION.
6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
7 SECTION 1. That Section 67-1202, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby
8 amended to read as follows:
9 67-1202. FUNDS OF STATE BOARD OF LAND COMMISSIONERS -- PURCHASE OF WAR-
10 RANTS FOR BOARD. It is the duty of the treasurer in relation to funds within
11 the control of the state board of land commissioners to receive from and
12 receipt to the board for money and evidences of indebtedness, (subject, how-
13 ever, to final payment), which are accepted by banks as cash in the ordinary
14 course of business, and to pay out of such funds orders drawn thereon by the
15 board, but every order must specify the particular fund upon which it is
16 drawn.
17 The state treasurer is authorized and empowered to purchase for the state
18 board of land commissioners for its use and benefit, under written authority
19 from said board, all warrants drawn on the general fund of the state of Idaho.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS 16816
This bill repeals an obsolete section of Idaho Code 67-1202 which
relates to the purchase of blank warrants. The State Controller
handles this function on behalf of the state.
