  1                                        AN ACT
  2    RELATING TO CHILD ABUSE; AMENDING SECTION 6-1704, IDAHO CODE,  TO  REVISE  THE
  3        STATUTE  OF  LIMITATIONS  APPLICABLE  TO CERTAIN CIVIL ACTIONS RELATING TO
  4        CHILD ABUSE.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION 1.  That Section 6-1704, Idaho Code, be, and the  same  is  hereby
  7    amended to read as follows:
                                                                        
  8        6-1704.  STATUTE  OF LIMITATIONS. Notwithstanding any limitation contained
  9    in chapter 2, title 5, Idaho Code:, an
 10        (1)  An action under the provisions of  this  chapter  section  6-1701(4),
 11    Idaho  Code,  must  be  commenced  within five (5) years from the date that an
 12    aggrieved child reaches the age of eighteen (18) years.
 13        (2)  An action under section 6-1701(1), (2) or (3),  Idaho  Code,  may  be
 14    commenced at any time after an incident of child abuse.

Relating to child abuse; amending Section 6-1704, Idaho Code, to
revise the statute of limitations applicable to certain civil
actions relating to child abuse.
