1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND WELFARE FOR
3 PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITALIZATION IN THE STATE HOSPITAL SOUTH PROGRAM FOR FISCAL
4 YEAR 2007; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. In addition to the appropriation made in Section 4, Chapter
7 372, Laws of 2006, there is hereby appropriated to the Department of Health
8 and Welfare for psychiatric hospitalization in the State Hospital South Pro-
9 gram the following amount, to be expended according to the designated expense
10 classes from the listed fund for the period July 1, 2006, through June 30,
11 2007:

13 Personnel Costs $ 480,000
14 Operating Expenditures 520,000
15 TOTAL $1,000,000
16 FROM:
17 Cooperative Welfare Fund (Dedicated) $1,000,000
18 SECTION 2. An emergency existing therefor, which emergency is hereby
19 declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
20 passage and approval.

This is a fiscal year 2007 supplemental appropriation to the Department of Health and Welfare for psychiatric hospitalization at State Hospital South. This appropriation bill increases dedicated fund spending authority for receipts generated from Medicare reimbursements at State Hospital South. The funding will be utilized for personnel costs and operating expenditures associated with providing psychiatric hospitalization to Medicare clients.
