  1                                        AN ACT
  2    APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL MONEYS TO THE OFFICE OF THE STATE BOARD OF  EDUCATION
  3        FOR FISCAL YEAR 2007; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
                                                                        
  4    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  5        SECTION  1.  In  addition  to the appropriation made in Section 1, Chapter
  6    409, Laws of 2006, there is hereby appropriated to the State Board  of  Educa-
  7    tion  for  the Office of the State Board of Education the following amount, to
  8    be expended according to the designated expense class from the listed fund for
  9    the period July 1, 2006, through June 30, 2007:
 10    OFFICE OF THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION:
 11    FOR:
 12    Operating Expenditures                                              $1,700,000
 13    FROM:

 15        SECTION 2.  An emergency existing  therefor,  which  emergency  is  hereby
 16    declared to exist, this act shall be in full force and effect on and after its
 17    passage and approval.

Statement of Purpose

RS17090

This is a fiscal year 2007 supplemental appropriation for the Office of the State Board of Education. This provides funding for a one-time extension of the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) contract to cover Fall 2006 testing for the Idaho Standards Achievement Tests (ISAT) during the transition between NWEA and Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) as the Idaho testing contactor.
