BOND BANK AUTHORITY - Amends existing law relating to the Idaho Bond Bank
Authority to provide that administrative expenses may also be paid from

1 AN ACT
2 RELATING TO ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES OF THE IDAHO BOND BANK AUTHORITY; AMENDING
3 SECTION 67-8720, IDAHO CODE, TO PROVIDE THAT ADMINISTRATIVE EXPENSES MAY
4 ALSO BE PAID FROM MONEYS APPROPRIATED TO THE STATE TREASURER FROM THE GEN-
5 ERAL FUND FOR OPERATING EXPENDITURES.
6 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
7 SECTION 1. That Section 67-8720, Idaho Code, be, and the same is hereby
8 amended to read as follows:
9 67-8720. EXPENSES OF ADMINISTRATION. All expenses incurred in carrying
10 out this chapter are payable solely either from revenues or funds appropriated
11 under this chapter or from moneys appropriated to the state treasurer from the
12 general fund for operating expenditures. Nothing in this chapter authorizes
13 the authority to incur an indebtedness or a liability on behalf of or payable
14 by the state.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS 16659
This legislation allows the State Treasurer to pay expenses
related to the administration of the Idaho Municipal Bond Bank from
the State Treasurer's regular appropriation. Currently expenses can
be paid only from fees generated by the Bond Bank itself; however,
because it is in it's infancy, no revenues have been generated to pay
for these expenses. As the Bond Bank continues to grow, there will be
monies available to pay the expenses.
