  1                                        AN ACT
  2    RELATING TO SALARIES OF MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC UTILITIES  COMMISSION;  AMENDING
  3        SECTION  61-215, IDAHO CODE, TO PROVIDE FOR AN INCREASE IN SALARY FOR MEM-
  4        BERS OF THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION.
                                                                        
  5    Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
                                                                        
  6        SECTION 1.  That Section 61-215, Idaho Code, be, and the  same  is  hereby
  7    amended to read as follows:
                                                                        
  8        61-215.  SALARIES  OF  PUBLIC  UTILITIES COMMISSIONERS. Each member of the
  9    public utilities commission shall devote  full  time  to  the  performance  of
 10    his/her  duties. Commencing on July 1, 2006 2007, the annual salary of members
 11    of the public utilities commission shall be eighty-fivenine thousand two  four
 12    hundred twenty-two eighty-three dollars ($85,22289,483) and shall be paid from
 13    sources set by the legislature.

This legislation provides for a 5% increase in the annual salary of
each Public Utilities Commissioner effective July 1, 2007.




                          FISCAL NOTE
                                
There is no impact to the general fund because the Public Utilities
Commissioners are paid from dedicated funds.
