APPROPRIATIONS - IDAHO STATE LOTTERY - Appropriates $11,215,300 to the
Idaho State Lottery in the Department of Self-Governing Agencies for fiscal
year 2009; limits the number of authorized full-time equivalent positions
to 47; and provides legislative intent that the amounts necessary to pay
prizes, retailer commissions, advertising and promotional costs shall be
continuously appropriated.

BY APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE
1 AN ACT
2 APPROPRIATING MONEYS TO THE IDAHO STATE LOTTERY FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009; LIMITING
3 THE NUMBER OF FULL-TIME EQUIVALENT POSITIONS; AND EXPRESSING LEGISLATIVE
4 INTENT TO CLARIFY THE SCOPE OF THE APPROPRIATION.
5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Idaho:
6 SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Idaho State Lottery in the
7 Department of Self-Governing Agencies the following amounts to be expended for
8 administrative costs according to the designated expense classes from the
9 listed fund for the period July 1, 2008, through June 30, 2009:
10 FOR:
11 Personnel Costs $ 2,842,500
12 Operating Expenditures 8,260,900
13 Capital Outlay 111,900
14 TOTAL $11,215,300
15 FROM:
16 State Lottery Fund $11,215,300
17 SECTION 2. In accordance with Section 67-3519, Idaho Code, the Idaho
18 State Lottery is authorized no more than forty-seven (47) full-time equivalent
19 positions at any point during the period July 1, 2008, through June 30, 2009,
20 unless specifically authorized by the Governor. The Joint Finance-
21 Appropriations Committee will be notified promptly of any increased positions
22 so authorized.
23 SECTION 3. It is legislative intent that amounts necessary to pay prizes,
24 retailer commissions, advertising and promotional costs shall be continuously
25 appropriated to the Idaho State Lottery under the provisions of Section
26 67-7428, Idaho Code.
