SENATE BILL 1371

GUARDIANS – Amends existing law to provide that the extended absence of a parent due to active duty in or deployment with the United States armed forces shall not be considered child neglect, abuse, or abandonment and to provide that temporary guardianships granted while a parent is on active duty or deployed shall end once the parent is able to resume care, custody, and control of the minor.
