CHAPTER 9
EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ACT
46-902.  legislative purpose — construction of chapter. (1) The purpose of this chapter is to recognize that the delivery of emergency medical services is critical to the life, health, and safety of Idahoans and to provide reasonable regulation of such services. Any regulations under this chapter shall be narrowly tailored, and all licensing requirements shall not be more restrictive than neighboring states or comparably situated states.
(2)  To carry out this purpose, the provisions of section 54-1804, Idaho Code, shall not be construed as to prohibit or penalize emergency medical services rendered by a person authorized to render emergency medical services by this chapter if such emergency medical service is rendered under the responsible supervision and control of a physician licensed in Idaho.
